This is a painting of Katy our flower girl during our wedding on Halloween 2004. Notice that she carried her petals in a pumpkin basket. Katy was supposed to walk along the aisle scattering petals along the way as is custom. Amusingly, as is often the case with young children, Katy had other ideas. As she walked own the aisle she threw no petals until she got to the end of her walk. At that point she upended the pumpkin basket and dumped all the petals on the floor.
Someone had the foresight to photograph Katy as she stared triumphantly at the pile on the floor. I based this painting on that endearing photograph. It went to prove the old TV adage never to script anything too diligently when young children or animals are involved.
